Περιγραφή
A very rare and original badge which was issued to the 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade during WW2 to commemorate the battle of Rimini in Italy.
The Rimini Badge was created late in 1944 by an Order of the Day of the Commander of the Third Greek Mountain Brigade and this with full approval of the Greek General Staff. The Badge commemorates the pitched and victorious battle that was fought by the Brigade on 22 Sept 1944 near Rimini, a seaport in NE Italy on the Adriatic. The decoration was worn by officers, NCO’s and men of the 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade during their active service. The Badge was worn on the right side of the breast.
Very hard to find in this condition. Almost extremely fine condition. The genuine left pin exists on the reverse side of the badge! The original pins are extremely fragile and are failed to the majority of these examples.
